Family Matters
Dick and his wife, Molly have called Holly Springs their home since 1995. They have three children. Their oldest son is a police officer in Beloit, Wisconsin. Rick and his wife, Kristy, have 6 wonderful children, Glen, David, Brian, Bradley, Katie and Sarah. Their second son, Mark, lives with his wife, Lisa, in California. He is a financial advisor. They foster two amazing boys, Adam and Josue. They also volunteer tirelessly with the SPCA and have a menagerie of animals at any given time. Their third child, Kristen, lives with her husband, David Sutherland and their two beautiful children. Kristen followed in her Mom's footprints as a pediatric nurse. Dave has worked locally in Holly Springs as a volunteer fire fighter and later as a Wake County paramedic. Since they are local, Dick and Molly are able to spend quite a bit of time with these grandchildren, and can often be found visiting Elaina at school or taking Jack to Bass Lake park.
Dick attended college at Purdue University in Indiana, the state in which he was born. He successfully completed a double major while also being very active in his fraternity and in campus life. While there, he fell for a lovely young nursing student and married Molly immediately after graduation.
Dick began his career working for Sears and Roebuck. He is a distant relative of the founder Mr. Sears and shares a strong family resemblence to him. Dick's first job was unloading trucks at the local store in Indiana. He was then based in New York and later Chicago, where he was when he retired from his position in Sales and Marketing.
Molly and Dick chose Holly Springs after an extensive search for their dream retirement home. Having family with roots nearby solidified their choice. Dick enjoys living near his younger brother, Dave Sears and his wife, who settled in the Jordan Lake area.
